 International Conference on Materials,

Energy and Environment

(ICMEE)

May 09-11, 2012

Toledo, Ohio, USA

(Facebook:  ICMEE-2012)

This conference will cover a wide range of interdisciplinary and current research topics such as electronic materials, nanomaterials, bio-nanomaterials, zero band-gap materials and composites. These materials have numerous applications in electronics, biotechnology and energy harvesting. The importance of nano-science and engineering has been well documented by both industrial and academic communities worldwide. It is believed that breakthroughs in nano-science and technology will change all aspects of human life in such diverse areas as, energy, biomedicine, sensing, environment, and security.

     The conference is intended to provide a forum for researchers and educators around the world to exchange state-of-the-art research and development and identify research needs and opportunities in these emerging fields. The primary objectives of this conference are to:

  • Facilitate interaction between researchers working in the fields of development and application of materials, with a special emphasis on electronics, energy, biotechnology and environment;

  • Provide scientists, engineers, graduate students and other professionals with a forum to actively engage in research discussions,  and professional development; and

  • Create opportunities for the next generation workforce to develop their professional skills.

The conference will include plenary speeches, invited presentations, contributed presentations and poster presentations. The conference will provide opportunities for senior undergraduate students, graduate students and post doctoral researchers to actively engage in research discussions, and professional development. Special sessions will be included to provide information about funding opportunities, current research interests, safety relevant to nanotechnology and research ethics. There will be awards for best poster and a special category for best student papers. Students and postdoctoral researchers will have a chance to serve as session moderators and expert panelists. All conference proceedings will be peer reviewed and distributed through CDs and the Internet.
